Zambia has recently established the Department of Anti-Human Trafficking under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security. In response, CIRF Investigators were invited to obtain Zambian Security Clearance and provide specialized training to this newly formed unit. CIRF will be partnering with the department in Lusaka, Zambia, to launch anti-human trafficking operations aimed at bringing traffickers to justice, those who have operated with impunity for years, devastating the lives of children and destabilizing communities.
CIRF Investigators delivered comprehensive training to the Task Force, covering essential areas such as undercover operations, interview and interrogation techniques, leveraging social media for investigations, case studies, and advanced tactics, techniques, and procedures for combating human trafficking.
Children's International Rescue Foundation also invited John Renouard, the founder of wholives.org to present on his impactful work throughout Africa fighting against the practice of female genital mutilation and share his experiences and leadership bringing fresh water to thousands of people through his unique village drill program.
This partnership with Zambia and John Renouard represents a significant step in expanding CIRF’s critical support to countries across Africa, and CIRF is proud to contribute to the global fight against human trafficking.
