CIRF Investigators Speak at Candlelight Vigil in Solidarity with Missing Trafficked Children

In a poignant candlelight vigil held to honor and stand in solidarity with children missing due to human trafficking, CIRF (Children International Rescue Foundation) Operators took the stage to share firsthand experiences from the front lines of this heartbreaking crisis. The event, which took place under the night sky, aimed to shed light on the devastating impact of child trafficking and call for stronger protections and accountability.

The vigil was graced by the presence of Utah Governor Candidate Phil Lyman, who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with CIRF and other advocates to emphasize the urgent need for legislative reforms. Lyman spoke passionately about the importance of uniting as a community to combat trafficking and expressed his commitment to enacting tougher laws that not only safeguard children but also deliver harsher penalties for traffickers.

CIRF Operators, known for their tireless work rescuing and assisting trafficked children, shared sobering accounts from the field. They described the heartbreaking conditions these children are forced to endure, some trapped in cycles of abuse, exploitation, and fear. These personal stories provided attendees with a raw and unfiltered glimpse into the reality faced by trafficked children, further underlining the need for swift action and stronger societal safeguards.

The event was organized by Cherie McWilliams with Mom Army, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the global attack on children’s innocence and mobilizing communities to fight against exploitation. Mom Army, along with its partner Dad Army, seeks to be a force for good, protecting children from harm, amplifying the voices of the voiceless, and offering hope to those trapped in the darkness of trafficking.

In a powerful show of unity, CIRF expressed its unwavering support for the efforts of Mom Army and Dad Army, reaffirming their shared mission to protect children from predators and bring traffickers to justice. We are here as a voice for the voiceless, a light for those still in darkness. Every child deserves safety, freedom, and the chance to dream again.

The candlelight vigil served as both a moment of reflection and a rallying cry. With candles flickering in the hands of attendees, the night concluded with a renewed sense of purpose, a reminder that each of us has a role to play in protecting the innocent and bringing an end to trafficking. The event left attendees with a powerful message: through unity, awareness, and action, we can turn the tide in this fight and create a world where every child is safe.

As the fight continues, CIRF, Mom Army, and Dad Army remain resolute in their commitment to protect children worldwide, standing together as beacons of hope and defenders of innocence.
